UNBLINKERS contest entry! [link]

i used this contest as an excuse to draw something for fun cuz its been too long.
Plus i love her art and characters~ so win/win
I saw this character drawn by winterfingers for the contest and i loved that pic so much i made photo prints and framed them in my apartment! I was just struck by it

so then i wanted to draw her too, so i deed

I suppose, in many cases, people don't leave very long comments or any at all because it is just so hard dealing with such abstractions as how an artwork makes you feel and why. But, since I am so impressed, I will give it a go. The pose, the face look very natural and expressive. The surroundings are relatively detailed but unclear enough to give the picture a great touch of mystery. Together with the paint on her face, torn (?) shoulder and that she's pantsless, the picture drives the imagination, makes me wonder about the predicament she may be in. And complete with the shading and lighting, it all feels very alive.
