What I like most about this is how reminiscent it is of what Ripley ended up in the ending of Alien, a tank top and panties. It shows that both Samus and Ripley were
A: at their most vulnerable; sans clothes, weapons, a suit of armor, etc..
B: if they still can kick all kinds of ass OUT of their zone, they COMPLETELY cement their badass statuses in their respective mediums
