Around may 2012, someone said at IMDB that he was working with Namco at a FLCL videogame for the Wii U and the 3DS that would serve as an OFFICIAL sequel to the show, that you could control Haruko and Naota and that a lot of the original cast was working in the project (including the rock band "The Pillows"). He said that the game was being kept as top secret as it was being developed and wasn't finished yet, but that the announcement should be soon...
I know it seems very unlikely that it will happen, as it might be a bluff, but that text alone was enough to make me go nuts and it really sounds like something awesome beyond words. We can only hope that we will see it become true in the near future...
